The highlight of the trek is the sunrise view from Poon Hill (3,210 m), where the golden glow of the rising sun paints the snow-capped peaks. This trek begins with a drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, followed by a trek through charming villages like Tikhedhunga and Ghorepani. On the highlight day, you’ll hike up to Poon Hill before sunrise for breathtaking mountain views. The trail then passes through Ghandruk, one of the most beautiful Gurung villages, before concluding with a return to Pokhara.
What is the highest altitude we will reach?
The highest point of the trek is Kala Patthar at 5,545 meters, which offers panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks. The Everest Base Camp itself is at 5,364 meters.
Do I need prior trekking experience for this trek?
While prior trekking experience is not mandatory, it is recommended to have a moderate level of physical fitness and the ability to walk 5-7 hours a day on uneven terrain. Acclimatization days are included to help with altitude adjustment.
